It's summer! We came up with a few ideas for things to do and made a list.
But now that I look at the list I am noticing things that aren't on it that I still want to do. Like take the Water Taxi to Chinatown (never done that). And go to the Ginza Holiday Festival in August (we go every year and always dig it). And maybe finally make it to the Peach & Gladiola Festival up in Coloma, MI.
And sometimes in summer, lists be damned, you just need to be spontaneous and do things as they come across your path. Like hitting Mario's 57 year-old wooden shack of a Lemonade stand on Taylor Street in Little Italy.
(It's not lemonade at all but actually more like an all-natural, super citrusy slushy. And it tastes like summer should. Even when you eat it in the car.)
So here we go . . . on and off the list and into an exciting summer. Tomorrow I'm taking a quick one night solo road trip up to Mineral Point, WI. I'll report back soon! Happy summer, everyone.
how do you do that water taxi thing? do tell so I can do it, too!

My stupid computer was so slow I couldn't put the links in. I'll hop on Ted's and put the link in for the water taxi website!
